In Which I Squeal In Excitement

Good morning, friends! I hope February is going well for you!

READING

The other night, I received a late Christmas present:

It’s half-devotional, half-biography, so I’m not going to rate it as a whole until I’m done with the devotionals – there’s 24 in all. But yesterday morning, I read the biography section in about an hour. Yup, it’s that short. (But there’s a fuller biography of her that I’d still like to get my hands on)

I’ll re-read it so I can can adequately review it but for now, you’ll get my initial thoughts:

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH THE LOVE AND DEVOTION SHE AND CHARLES HAD MY LITTLE ROMANTIC HEART

AND ALSO THE WAY THEY ENCOURAGED EACH OTHER IN THEIR FAITH LIKE

LADIES FIND YOURSELVES A GOD-FEARING MAN LIKE CHARLES HADDON SPURGEON

which reminds me I still have to finish reading those sermons of his I have, haha

*cough*

Anyway, on to the writing updates!

WRITING

SO. I’m still plodding along on The Woodsman and on the story I want to submit to the next Seize The World anthology. I won’t say much about the latter other than it’s not another Woodsman prequel – but the series it’s a prequel to does include Woodsman ancestors.

This particular story is about the Matthews ancestors, mainly Ezekiel.

That’s it. That’s all you’re getting right now. Nothing else to see here. I’ve said too much already. (why does that sound like something Sarah Baran would say)

*clears throat*

Anyway, I do hope to have The Woodsman at least halfway finished by the end of the month…or maybe a quarter…

OTHER THINGS

ONLY THREE DAYS LEFT UNTIL TELL ME YOU LOVE ME AND SEIZE THE LOVE ARE RELEASED!! I’m getting even more impatient now, haha. I’m just so giddy!!

The blog tour is on a weekend break but we’ll be back Monday with Lilly Wiscaver’s and Allyson Jamison’s posts!

That’s all for now! I hope you all have a good rest of your day!

  1. Ohhhhh I must read that book you got someday!!!!! That biography part sounds AMAZING. (Haha, I’ve actually been reading Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening devotionals lately besides doing my usual Bible reading time! They’re always so good!)
